I returned to university to add to my degrees so I could begin working in a new field. I got as many "For Dummies" books as I could find on subjects that I am taking. My minor this time is Forensic Psychology, so I bought the book. I like reading these books to get an idea of what I am studying and I use the book frequently to refresh my memory and to compare to my textbooks. I feel like I get a little bit of a head start on the subject. I also learn what will interest me about the subject and will be easy to learn — and what I might need to work a little harder on. These books really are "For Dummies" and they are easy to understand.
This book is very organized and presents the topic from a truly beginner's level. that is good. the basics need to be understood before trying to go deeper into the topic. this book not only discusses the psychology of forensics, but the role and preparation for a forensic psychologist. I loved the stories that exemplified major points.
As an addition to other course material, I found this very helpful. It explains in more simple terms some of the more difficult concepts of this often misunderstood subject of forensics. For that reason alone I highly recommend this volume.PulpKult.
I read these books to gain knowledge for my writing. In the past my mysteries were always kind of light because I was not familiar with crime scenes and that. This book along with other forensic for dummies books and criminology has helped.
I'm 16 and preparing to become a forensic psychologist. This book was pretty helpful
